"Welcome to our World"- Short Notice:

Short Notice came together in Spring 2005, when 4 friends and musicians who had been in various bands before, had an impromptu jam session. After a few sessions playing covers for fun, they decided they were on to something and things got a little more serious. The rest of the year was spent playing local shows, writing material and generally having a great time. Musically Short Notice have been described as a mix between The Damned, The Stray Cats and AC/DC, no complaints from the band on those comparisons, however the band are in unchartered waters with the Double Bass slapping, crunching riffs and sing a long choruses, giving them a unique sound and look. In June 2006 the band released a 3 track single "The End Is Closer Than You Think" on their own label and have been steadily promoting this all over the country. The rest of 2006 will see the band continue with UK dates and preparing for their next studio session in early 2007 which will culminate in a debut album. The band are also negotiating a short tour in the USA - Southern California in Easter 2007 and were recently playlisted on www.wfmu.org a New York City radio show. So baton down the hatches and hold on to your hats, Short Notice are coming!!
